Warren Cabral (author)
Born in Bermuda in 1960, Warren Cabral is the author of numerous plays, musicals, short stories and now his first full-length novels in the form of stories for children. He was educated at Saltus Grammar School in Bermuda, during which time he began his first writing job aged 16 as a reporter on The Royal Gazette.
After a 30-year career as an attorney in Bermuda and London, Warren returned to writing. His launch into children’s fiction came when he crafted a short Christmas story for his two nieces, after inviting them to challenge him with their own prescription for characters, period and theme. From there, his current endeavour, The Lakeland Mysteries, was designed around two sisters, making them the heroines and setting the stories in their hometown of Cockermouth.

Corryn Webb (illustrator and designer)
Corryn is Welsh. She lives with her husband, children and rescue dogs in the rugged mountains beside the North Wales coast in the UK. With her vivid imagination and eye for detail, Corryn has been lauded for her beautiful award-winning pieces bursting with creativity. She is fascinated by the beauty, magic, and mythology of the natural landscape of Wales, which regularly inspires her art. When she’s not working, you can find her tending her indoor jungle, reading, doing embroidery or model-making. Corryn is passionate about creating unique and eye-catching illustrations for children’s books. Creating new characters, embarking on adventures with old friends, exploring magical kingdoms and sparking the imagination of small and big humans are her raison d’etre.

Ian Russell (Narrator)
Ian Russell is a British Actor with a string of audiobook credits in various genres, including the young adult category. For over a decade, he has been serving clients across the globe providing high-quality voiceovers.
He was nominated for both an Audie and SOVAS (Society of Voice Arts) award for his previous work in audiobooks and won the prestigious One Voice Award for Voice of the Year UK in 2020.
In the video game world, he is well known with over 150 credits, including several Warhammer40k titles and RWBY:Arrowfell. He is delighted to be attached to the Lakeland Mysteries by Warren Cabral.
